Laboratory and Training Usage Manual
1. Inspect the Package
Confirm that the package is sealed and undamaged. Check the printed lot number and expiration date before opening. Do not use an expired, leaking or previously opened bottle.
2. Prepare the Work Area
Wear suitable protective gloves and prepare a clean, clearly labeled testing container. Mark the container as a synthetic negative-control sample to prevent confusion with a biological specimen.
3. Prepare the Sample
Gently shake the sealed bottle to distribute its contents evenly. Open it only when the laboratory exercise or demonstration is ready to begin.
4. Perform the Authorized Test
Pour only the amount required into the labeled container. Use the sample with the selected dipstick, reagent or urinalysis equipment according to that test manufacturer’s instructions.
Do not interpret the synthetic sample as a patient specimen or use it to make medical decisions.
5. Record the Results
Document the product name, lot number, expiration date, testing equipment and observed control results according to your laboratory, classroom or quality-control procedure.
6. Dispose of the Sample
Dispose of opened or used material according to your facility’s procedures and applicable local requirements. Do not return used material to the original bottle.
